What is Art

So you want to live a more artful life. How do you do that? I don't know. You'll need to decide that for yourself. In the picture is an assortment of the arts I am most interested in—at least at the moment. There's a theatre poster for plays (one written by me) never produced—they all were postponed due to Covid-19; books I have both read and written; a doll owned by my father's mother, recently restrung but awaiting clothes; a framed bird print, bought at an auction recently and re framed; the cherry chest of drawers has been handed down in my family, originally owned by a favorite uncle on my mother's side. What about you? Are your favorite pieces of “art” really about art, or family, or something else? Can you guess why the unmentioned art works are in the picture?
