Pam Brown

My Aunt Pam would have been 82 today. Instead, she died at the age of 28 in the fall of 1970 while trying to cross the Atlantic Ocean in an open balloon-- The Free Life. She was an actress whom I always thought of as living a "That Girl" (the TV sitcom) kind of life. Indeed, she had a joy for life, and a sense of adventure that compelled her to try to be the first to cross the Atlantic in a balloon. Today, you can find her bust at Actors Theatre of Louisville even as her spirit lives on within her family --and anyone with a sense of joy and adventure.

Recently, I came across an article about Pam--extensions of remarks, actually, made by Congressman Hal Rogers of Kentucky and entered into the Congressional Record.
